I really appreciated that we were shown some ongoing projects prior to committing. What I appreciated the most during the project was the regular and ongoing communication through whatsapp. The team was attentive to our desires and needs in terms of adjustments. I would have taken only half a star if I could - the reason is that the much smaller detail/finishes at the end of the project took more time to be done. They tend to focus on 3 big projects at once in the North London area, so they are always physically near enough to pop around for any ad hoc queries as the project progresses (electrics, plumbing etc) if necessary.They built a first-floor kitchen extension for us in 2023 which we are very happy with.It required two steels (in a T configuration) and they were able to install the steels without opening up the room above, which was very helpful.Ervis and Andreas lead a great team with Ervis managing the three big projects they work on at a higher level and new customers with Andreas leading more on the implementation details. They are as easy to talk to as they are professional. Our vision was translated into reality with precision, care, knowledge, patience and to a high standard.Grand designs completed a rear extension, a combination toilet/utility room and remodeled our family bathroom.From the beginning, lots of thought was put into how their work would not make living in a building site too hard, making adaptations to the family bathroom prior to its remodel so we had an operating washing machine and somewhere to wash plates. When demolition began, the guys worked tirelessly and carefully, cleaning up every evening and making sure the next days needs were organised so that work wouldn’t stop, and it didn’t. It quickly took shape and the team were always on site, Monday to Saturdays.Throughout the process, the consultation aspect of their service was like having an extremely experienced project manager on site 24-7! For example, I was given ample time to place orders for everything required (eg windows, flooring, bathroom fixtures and fittings, boiler, kitchen) and they really helped during this process - giving me not only functional ideas, but also design ideas that I wouldn’t of thought of without some coaching (eg the work surface being level around the window. Their idea not mine and it’s bespoke to the kitchen!) When building control/steel beams/architects etc were on site, the managing director was ALWAYS here to take control which was such a weight off our shoulders and really really valuable.The team are a great bunch who were respectful to our home and our family and are an asset to Grand Projects.Thank you so much.
